This 200-watt, three-way Pyle Hydra marine speaker has been specially designed for harsh outdoor environments. Works great on your boat, deck, by your pool, or simply mounted outdoors, because it’s completely waterproof. And it sounds great, too, thanks to a 24 oz magnet structure powering a 3.5” aluminum injection cone woofer, 1.75” wide dispersion cone for rich mids, and a 1” super dome tweeter for sweet highs. The built-in capacitor crossover network performs high-quality frequency separation to minimize distortion and maximize the clarity of your sound. To protect against the elements, this speaker is equipped with a removable rustproof mesh grill on a sturdy heavy-duty ASB construction. The bass reflex vent multiplies the bass for a booming low end. Hook up your speakers using the quick-connect speaker terminals – installation could not be easier. Includes a complete mounting kit and wires.

I installed a full stereo system in the boat and these box speakers were the first to be hooked-up. They were great because it was the first time I ever had tunes in the boat and it was nice to listen to music while installing the rear speakers. As soon as my rear speakers were hooked up, they really drowned out these little box speakers even though the rear speakers were outside 12' away and I was inside, between these box speakers. The rear speakers are Pyle PLMRX69 rated at 93db/1w-m. Like many of the other reviews mentioned, the mounting hardware has issues. The bracket is great and fits the speaker well. The problem is that the big white thumb-bolt that affixes the speaker to the bracket at each end bottoms out in the threaded brass nut before it fully clamps the speaker. Sounds like many people have tried to tighten this too far and stripped it, etc. I simply put some washers between... They are easy to install and fit nicely into small spaces.
